The students of GIIS Abu Dhabi had the honor of engaging in an exclusive interactive session with the author of over two dozen award-winning children’s books-Kate Messner.

Our Principal, Dr. Heena Racch, felicitated the guest speaker, Kate Messner, with a memento.   This was followed by a motivational speech by Kate Messner.  Her words of wisdom, especially drawn from her own personal experiences were special and thought provoking. She advised the students to be empathetic and also to respect the world around them and nature as well.

The vivid memories of her childhood and the early years of her writing career were truly inspiring and directive especially to the ones who dream to be writers in future. She found really ecstatic to share her childhood thoughts and fancies, and to explain how these thoughts paved the way in shaping her into a renowned writer. She advised the budding writers to read everything they can, to learn about music of language and to carry a notebook always to jot down the ideas spark in their mind.

The students had an interactive question and answer session too with the author. She was so eager to face each question and answer them clearly in a very convincing manner.

Kate Messner’s encouraging words boosted the self-confidence of the students and enchanted them greatly, as she does to millions of her fans around the world through her writing.
